Developed by Pfizer, their Prevnar vaccine was the best selling vaccine in 2013. The vaccine protects against pneumococcal disease, an infection that can cause many different illnesses. The vaccine is recommended for children under 5 years of age as well as adults with certain risk factors. We would like to thank all of our patients who have participated in our Prevnar studies over the years. Without you, these life-saving vaccines may not get approval and be made available to others.
