May 20 marks Clinical Trials Day, celebrating clinical research professionals and their contributions to medical research. The day was chosen in recognition of when James Lind began what is considered the first randomized clinical trial aboard a ship in 1747. We would also like to honor our patients for their crucial role in the clinical research process.
