The American Cancer Society’s Epidemiology Research Program is seeking male and female volunteers for a Cancer Prevention Study. The study hopes to examine lifestyle, behavioral, and other risk factors that may prevent or cause cancer. The research program is looking for enroll 300,000 people between the ages of 30 and 65 that do not have a personal history of cancer. Enrolling in the study involves a visit to a local site where study participants will give consent, complete a survey, have their waist circumference measured, and provide a small blood sample. Participation requires a long-term commitment of at least 20 years to complete periodic follow-up surveys at home about every two years.
The Cancer Prevention Study will be enrolling in Utah during the month of October. Click here to view all enrollment sites.
