Acute Otitis Media (Ear Infection)

Acute otitis media, more commonly known as an ear infection, is the inflammation and fluid buildup in the middle ear.  They are often caused by bacteria or a virus in the middle ear, and can be the result of another illness. Ear infections are one of the most common childhood ailments, and usually clear up on their own.  In these cases treatment usually involves pain management.

We are currently enrolling for a study involving the relief of pain symptoms in children suffering from an ear infection. Click here to learn more about this research study. Please contact us or call one of our locations for information about participating.
